Dear Chris

I built a 6 weight from a 007 lamie glass and broke the tip when I was pulling the line out of the reel. I didnt even catch a fish on it before this happened. Do you know anything of lamies warrenty services. I have lost my docket and they are particular about this in an email they sent. I also have the same problem with a St Croix blank, both blanks are no longer made. Any comments Chris will be gratefull.

thanks Tim.Wezels riped my Bream !

Tim,

Not sure if your post is directed to me but will give it a shot.

Where did you buy the Lamiglas blank from? I'm guessing you got it from the States in which case if you've lost the docket you've got a problem. Ask them how much to buy a new tip.

The WA agent for lamiglas used to be Ozflex and I guess it still is. Don't know of the 007 blank - are you refering to the IM 700 perhaps?

Cheers,

Chris.

Chris,

Yes I was directing my message to you, because I saw a post where you said you had a half lamie half sage 6 weight. I bought both my blanks from Charlton tackle in Launceston Tas, do you think they could help me with records of my perchase. The lamie is a IMX 700 but they are no longer made. I only bought the blank last christmas and the St Croix six months before that. The Lamieglass was a very nice rod to cast, I cant tell you how good they are fighting a fish.Wezels riped my bream

Tim,

They were excellent blanks (the 700 range) and it's a shame they were not sold in greater numbers in Aus. It may be worth contacting Lamiglas directly if the shop in Tas is unable to help.

Cheers,

Chris.

PS. Yes, they do cast and fish very well especially the 6-weight and 9-weight 2 piece rods.
