Slider best colours ? gene-larue spiders worth a go?

what are u're best SLIDER/atomic paddle colours,

and in what sort of water, looking to a little shopping and jus want to get what i need.....;)

but it's a lil hard when there are so many goodies to put in my tackle box.......

also has anybody had any success on spider GENE-LARUE's and in what situations........

i'm a bit of a shopp-a-holic when it comes to tackle and i don't want to break the bank.............when i hit the shop? so a little discipline (of knowing wat i want would be great), walk in walk out....well thats the plan

I have had the most success with the 2 and half inch pumpkinseed atomics, used them in dirty river water in Newcastle at easter and in crystal clear water in Noosa three weeks ago with great results.

I should point out that I caught both Bream and Flathead on them, if taretting just bream I would use a smaller fat grub.

Mate, do a search of the forums and you will be inundated with everyones faves :)

Pumpkinshrimp and Muscadine are probably the most raved about, with good reason ;)

Another favorite of mine is the Tennessee Shad colour, it works well on the Bream, and the by-catch is pretty good too :D (see below)

To answer your questions all the colours will catch bream, it really just depends how & where you fish them. Some good Slider colours are Muscadeane, Pumpkinseed, Sour Grape, White, Caterpillar, Motor Oil, Speckled Green and the green one.

Atomic colours in similar patterns, Sewelly loves the Avocado Gold and the gold especiallin winter.

Gene Larew ar egreat plastics, they do work and that is the plastic that I started getting alot of bream on last winter, Craig got a nice 1.3 kilo bream in Moore River on one.

And lastly there is no such thing as too many plastics!

Drew, I had a pumpkinseed crappie spider out of the box today, for the first time in absolute yonks, and it went well. Muscadine sliders remain a perpetual fave.

And just to prevent confusion...I'm not the "Craig" Ira refers too, that gentleman is Craig C the current Mr Big of Australian competitive bream fishing :)

The colours you have put up are great. I would definately add that the gold Glitter grub is dynamite, as are the Muscadine and Pumpkinshrimp Sliders.
The spiders work. I saw GeoffP catch a nice fish, and drop a couple the other day on them. I bought them after seeing this, and have had huge hits wheni have used them, but no hookups!

Just ask geoff p. down at breammaster about the spiders. He put me onto them (in the green/chartruse color) and I've landed one and had more than enough hits to ensure them a perminent place in my box.
The color of them and the action makes me think they could be seen by fish as some sort of weed/plantlife?
