I have been visiting the site for sometime now reading all the valuable information but have only just joined up. Actually probably wouldn't have gotten round to joining up except that SWANK-E and PETE S did their best to pressure me when I bumped into them on holiday at the Maribyrnong river (whilst spinning of course). That was a month and a bit back but hey guys I'm here now.

Welcome aboard panger :-)
That Swank-E should be paid as a talent scout...

Soon we will have a huge contingent of Vics on here and take over from the WA lot ;-)

I'm actually in Sydney. :D

I was down in Melbourne on hols doing touristy stuff and visiting relos. Read about Marybrynong river here before I went down so I gave it ago especially since it was 5 mins from where I was staying. Got stuck into the best bream sessions (numbers wise) I've had. Nice to catch those southern brimbos.

Sorry panger, didn't realise hols was from interstate, I thought you meant you were just off work for Easter. Guess you can't be a part of "Team Vic" then ;-)

I'm staying in Maroubra with my fishing so far limited to landbased at Iron Cove and a handful of exploritary trips to the Cooks River. Had some success, but not really with numbers. Strange I can go to another city and catch many more bream than on my home turf.

SWANK-E,
yeah finally made it.

Looks like you're getting into nice bream down in the middle of the city. When I was working in Melbourne last year, I took many a lunch time stroll round there sizing it up for bream spinning. Looked pretty fishy to me but unfortunately didn't take my gear down with me.
