I use a braided loop to a loop knot then about 75cms of 20 pound then a grinner knot to 6 kg tippet for about 1.3 meters. Then using a loop knot to the fly
does the job for my bream fly fishing.

Most of the time i just use a scientific angler flouro tapered leader 9ft long and just attach the tippet to that and i just shorten or lengthen the tippet to suit where i am fishing and what flies i am using.

Hi Guys,
I normally use about 9-12 foot of straight ten pound . But lately ive tried 4foot of 40lb to 4foot of 15 to 4 foot of 10 and sems to lay the fly out very well so i might stick with it . Thats my two cents worth
