Over the last few hours , I've been having a huge debate with a mate of mine over whther or not I should purchase a canoe/kayak or a porta-bote.....at the moment the porta-bote is ahead.
For someone like me, with no room to store a 'real' boat and trailer, it looks like a pretty good alternative.
If anyone has used one, I'd certainly like to know what you think of them.

I remember one the Aust fishing mags testing the Porta-Bote way back in the 80's, I think they were fairly impressed with it.
I see one of the reviews on their website is by Fred Jobson via Aust Freshwater Fishing mag.

thats an interesting read, wonder how much they cost.the larger one would be the go for a bream comp length wise but dont know about the weight limit of 305kg,with 2 guys, tackle, live well, motor, fuel etc but for pottering around with minimal gear its a beaut, especially with a sort of tri-hull it has should be very stable.wonder how much they cost,i suppose take into consideration no trailer i think it would be pretty good.
