just looking at the packets they come in and wondered what the differant types mean?? eg...cobra 29 type-s (swimming) and round 20 type-f (falling)
and are they meant to be used with differant plastics or differant retrieves??
i bet its obvious but its late and the end of the week :) :)
cheers pete

Mate, you can use them all on the same plastics, the 'Cobra' is halfway to a stand-up head, and tends to 'glide' through the water towards you on the drop.
When it's on the bottom the tail sits up a bit and any current gives it a good wiggle, most of the 'round' types end up with the tail hard against the bottom - it won't stop a fish from picking it up though.

thanks dave,
i liked the look of them because they dont have the "gripper cones".
i have a few super small thin softies that will go beautifully on them :) :)
cheers pete

I have found Cobras work well on sand flats I spin. I have used them with 1" sliders & I am happy with them. Theres not many bream here at the moment well not decent ones anyway so I target whiting a bit & I have found I hook more fish & drop less on the Cobra's. I think it is because the grub is clear of the sand the whiting seem to take it right in & hook up better.

I just found out earlier what they mean and what they're ment for, the 29 S is ment more for crustaceans such as the atomic crawls and the type-F is more for sliders.

When I changed to gamas my hook ups improved dramatically as well. Theres no substitute for sharp hooks.
Gday
I used to use squidgie (and still do occasionally) but I got a much, much better hookup rate on gama whatever
