Hey Crew,
Am thinking about buying a canoe to chase Bream and EP out of.......
I was wondering if you guys could help me with some questions:
1) Length?
I'd like it to be stable, do I need a Kayak or Canoe?
I won't need much storage, just some room for my camera, a drink and some lures.
2) New or Secondhand? What represents better value?
3) Weight. I'm a small bloke, what's the heaviest I should be able to cart by myself?
Cheers for your help and suggestions!

The wider a kayak is the more stable (less prone to tipping) it is. I don't think whether its a kayak or canoe has much difference once you account for the width of the vessel. You may also want to consider whether the kayak has a keel or not. Without a keel a yak will tend to spin in current or wind.
Second hand to me is better value. I got mine at I think 1/3 full price and it had barely any wear. You may need to hunt around a bit for one however.
I'm also not strong and find a 20kg yak reasonably easy to handle. I would think I would start having troubles if it got much heavier.

Marcus,
Get a hobie kayak, with the foot pedals. A mate at work has one, and always raves on about it.
You can pedal and have both hands free to cast and do whatever else.
They're a bit pricey, but apparently they're pretty awesome!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Upon talking to the local Kayak store 'dude', I was quite impressed with the Wavedance Calypso....... for all interested parties:
