Is this a good price

Hi just woundering if $780 is a good price for a minn kota 55lb riptide bow mount brand new

Well here's the prices from BLA which are usually pretty close to the mark.
If you can get a brand new one from Australia for that price go for it, in fact buy 2 of them.
But if you are importing it, be careful because I have heard you are not covered under warranty if it comes in from the U.S under a private buyer.

Perhaps check that your motor is a brand spanker as the price you paid is significantly below cost for a Riptide 55lb.

This is not flaming Nath.

He started the thread so why wouldn't he expect questions on the issue? You can't "steal" a kota for that money and expect people's curiosity not to be pricked.

All we ask is for the proof of purchase and the dealers name and he will get a pat on the back. I know if I scored such a deal I would be either spilling the beans completely or keeping my mouth shut.

I cant see all the fuss . So he got a bargain , now hes almost been tarnished as a theif . Good on you for getting out there and checking out whats best for your pocket . Its not rare for opportunities like this to come up . If your in the right place at the right time ,.... bang , youve got a bargain . I picked up my Minn Kota for $350 , new, complete with quick release bracket , about 18mths ago . No it wasnt hot , there was no back door sales , all legal business . The store was having a large sale as it was renaming or being bought out by another company . Minn kota were $300 as to were the Motorguides . There was no price difference in the different poundages , they just wanted the motors off the shelf ..

Mate I'd like to think me and Guido softening up the salesman 2 days prior helped. Even made him hook it up to a battery and ummed and arred for 45mins.

Its not "Show FRIENDS" its "Show BUSINESS". I told him if he could make me an offer I couldnt refuse I'd take 2 of them before doing the patented "Crusher Walk-Out". :D
