I own a 6'6" Shimano Stella spin and for the price I paid for it couldn't be happier with it, particularly the handle configuration and the tip action.
After reading a post on this site, I went to the tackle store today and checked out the 7'0" equivalent, the Squidgy Spin stick.
With a name like Squidgy spin, obviously this rod is specifically built for soft plastics which I solely fish with. I would like to know what benefit and extra six-inches in rod length gives me.
As an aside, the extra length when compared to the Stella Spin seems to be in the butt section. Consequently, it stuck me as being quite a bit heavier. Is it a comfortable rod to use during and extended session of single handed lure flicking.
Any thoughts?
