Ah G'day,

Just found this sight, looking good:cool:

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to fishing. Caught the bug at Fraser Island about 5 years ago, but I only get to go fishing on holidays.

I hope to change that this year when I pickup my first boat later this month on the way to Brooms Head/Sandon River for a well earned break.

A new 385 Stessl EdgeTracker with 25hp Mercury awaits my arrival at Port Macquarie on the way north. Hopefully I've picked a good boat for estuary bay and dam fishing. The claimed stability of this boat was the main attraction. I'm a big bloke and have found the few V bottoms I've been in lean too much when I move about.

Haven't caught many bream yet, probably because I mainly chase whiting off the beach and flathead in the estuary. My best bream bi-catch so far was a 28cm fella off the beach at Stuarts Point near South West Rocks.

Once I've got the boat I hope to fish places like Botany Bay and Berowra Waters on my days off. I'm a shift worker and get days off during the week when the waterways should be a bit quieter.

I'll scour the forums now for a bit of breamy info and look forward to some improved bream tallies very soon.

Well done mate and welcome to the site. Hope you find the 385 Edgetracker does you well. I'm involved with Stessl here and the Edgetrackers are a great boat. Check the forums if you're after some ideas on kitting out the interior or drop me an e-mail :

Enjoy.

G'day wannaboat,

The guys & gals on the site are friendly & always willing to help out so you'll end up with more info than you can handle:)

God bless fishing in the middle of the week;)

I hate "combat" fishing on weekends:mad:
