I was having a flick around the local flat this morning & things were a bit slow & I changed to an Amber Fat Grub in the 2" size & finished with 3 nice whiting a Bream around 35cm & as many little spikie flatties as you want. They worked really well & I was surprised the way the whiting went them.

Don't talk about the Amber grubs - that's one of my secret weapons:D - not so secret now:rolleyes: :D
You're right though Ravin, they do the trick well and can turn an otherwise poor session around;)
Just don't tell everyone:D :D

:D I promise I won't tell anyone at all Dave :D Theres no truth in the rumour that I blab spots on my web site either :D Just ask the people that own the Hawkesbury River who I get regular hate mail from :D :D Seriuosly though it shows how just changing the colour when things aren't working can make all the difference. I do well on Muscadine Sliders consistently here plus plenty on pumpkinseed as well but today the fish just didn't want to know about them. As soon as I changed I scored 2 whiting in a couple minutes from water I had fished minutes before hand without a touch.

hey guys
i just got my amber grubs a week ago and was fishing in the raby bay canals in brissy and was using the blue and silver colour with no touches and as soon as i changed i hooked a nice little 30 cm bream nuthing to brag about but those amber grubs sure do the trick

I just got back from a short session round the local flats & only got 1 small bream & a bunch of spikie lizards but out of the 11 fish I got 8 came on amber grubs the rest on muscadine sliders. The hardest part was getting a cast in between the tourists :D
