Hi All

I havent seen many ways of weed proofing the Sp apart from crimping on some split shot and add some add some bristles or some mono. i saw one on an american site as they where weedproofing.

Are there many other ways of weedproofing soft plastics

Cheers

The main way that I've seen involves using special hooks with a "kink" in them that allows the hook point to be embedded inside the plastic to avoid hooking up. Owner make a jig head that has the kink and a lead head. You can also buy hooks without the lead head and rig them texas or carolina style to acheive something similar.

Apparently the hookup rate is not too bad even though the hook point is buried.

the offset hooks are great for using in areas where you wouldn't dream of throwing a normal rigged plastic or lure, unweighted versions can be used with 'craw' type plastics and dropped into gnarly snags so they fall with a fairly natural motion.

Hi Bream dude

I got this pic off an american web site it just the bristles are such a good idea.
i know the gamas have some very different arangements of jig heads so the hook point rides alot differently.

In general the hook point rides point facing down, if you place more lead above the shank (not on the hook side) the hook should ride hook facing up. This is the only other solution i had so far.

im still looking
