Ecogear Mini Tanks

I've been giving the Mini Tanks a workout lately & they are going great! Bream love em in all colours but particularly the shrimp / green back model & the smoke/pearl. I have been getting an assortment of fish including flatties & whiting as well. Heres a pic of a anti - tank bream :D

Good work mate, they are great looking little plastics hey. I'm wanting to try out the Baby Squids soon, I think they'd go pretty well down in the lower reaches of our Swan.

Good one ya, sorry if I sounded a little suspicious. Might have to pick up some of those mini tanks. I think the squids may b a little big for our yarra bream though.

No sorry needed its perfectly understandable :D Gee you got on to my Ecogear page quick :D Its brand new. The little squids go well & any decent bream will take them. I get plenty of small ones them. At times larger soft plastic bait or HB lure will often sort the littlies out from the best fish

Ken, good to hear that you've started an association with Ecogear. I used the Mini Tanks for the 1st time on Saturday at the Bream Parra Social and mate they are marvellous.

Unfortunately, I dropped the fish about 10cm away from lifting it (left the bluddy net at home).

Ravin, I thought your picture looked familiar! Lovely website you've got there, and the exact boat that I'd like to buy!

It's good to see at least one other Central Coast dweller here on the forum. You do most of your fishing now in the Broken Bay, Pittwater area, right?

Sigh, if only I had a boat. A mate of mine is looking at buying one, and I pointed him in the direction of the Hornet Wildfisher, is it 475? I think so.

I think they represent some little crustacean. Whatever it looks like to them the fish like em. Got 2 nice Grunter on them this morning. Thats Spotted Grunter Bream :D

Inspired by Ravins posts, I picked up a pack of mini tanks and they haven't disappointed. I picked up 3 bream in the first session and dropped another along with plenty of hits. I used shrimp/green back with a slow retrieve and the occasional twitch.
How does everyone else like to retrieve them?

:D They work well don't they. I gently hop them along the bottom in small steps & VERY slowly. I have an idea for rigging them up differently which I think could be a winner & as soon as the Easter Tourists thin out a bit I'll try it out & post positive results :D Of course if the results aren't positive you'll never read another word plus I'll come back & delete all reference to it as well :D :D

Christopher its a 445 Wildfisher. I used to fish Broken Bay & that area up until last September. We moved up here to Caloundra & live 1k from the Pumicestone Passage :D Beats a 45 minute tow to Pittwater.
