im looking at buying a riptide 55AP. i can get one brand new for around $970(is that good, want the normal $) also wanted to know from people that have riptides the pros and mostly the cons of it from personal use.
thanks very much to all
I have 2 that have copped a hiding. The real problem with them in the pedal. Just make sure you look after them and keep them clean.

is it hard to use, i have been reading some other threads to. is there a real prob with its movement/response being slow???
I personally find them easier than cable steer as the pedal is flatter which makes balancing easier. Like any electric they take a bit to get used to, but not that much. Stay tuned, I hope to announce our first Lesson Day very soon.

Mate that's a good price. Double check it because as a Minn Kota agent(one of Perths biggest actually:D ) thats cheaper than i get them for:confused: something must be wrong....
$1500 with battery and wirring is actually close to write. The battery alone will be $200 ish :)

Best I could do was $1399 without battery from MO tackle. Buy it! the auto pilot is a dream, just set your direction and speed and forget it.
