I have 2 reels that I would like to replace the lines with the Line System Bass Hard and that would include the spare spools. Do they only come in the 150m or can you get them bigger. According to my calculations I am looking at around $150+ just to replace all 4. Is $60 the cheapest around town?

In addition I wonder what is the best way to split a 150m into 2 reels equally. I did it last time by guessing and it sure didn't work out :(

Drop an e-mail to sales@breammaster.com and we'll see what we can do for you Carol. Might also be a good idea to drop in and see Langers and we'll see about spooling up as well.

i have been using it for a few months now and love the stuff, once you take the fluffy coating off :D its just so supple and casts magnificently and i reckon easier to see too, i wet a rag and run the line through that between my thumb and finger, you will be surprised how much fluffy orange comes off ;)

to half the 150mt spool i tied a sinker onto my line and then put a meter ruler on the ground. I then turned the handle one revolution, checked how far the sinker had moved, Eg. it moved 1mt for one turn of the handle, so 75 turns of the handle = 75mt worked near on perfect ;)

cheers chuck

Hi Gae

We are talking about Line System here, not Nitlon. I want to find out about this Nitlon line as it seems cheaper than the Line System; LS is rather expensive indeed. Having used LS, fireline suxs. I may give Langers a call, once I make up my mine which way I'm going. Only problem is Nitlon doesn't have bright striking colours for blind like me! :p

Also if I go towards LS again, I am currently using 6lb and happy with it. I see that people load their spare spools with different lb line and the lighter the better for fish? I have heard that 4lb is not as good as 6lb ... just harder to do knots as it's flimsy? Stick to 6lb or or 4lb for spare spool I wonder ....

In addition my LS never goes fluffy though?

Cheers LR

Thanks Garry, ever thought of going into the tackle industry? I actually rang them and there was no advised of this. Well if this is the case, I think you just solved my problem. Thanks ;)

Hi guys

Regarding 4 lb Line System. I normally go 6lb and I heard that 4 lb may not be as good. Can someone tell me why is that? Is it because it is floppier/lighter and thus harder to do the knots? Thinking of having different lb lines on my spare but just can't decide. By the way do most of you have different lb line on your spare spool or the same?

Comments on 4 lb v 6 lbs appreciated and thinking of getting some tomorrow.

Cheers LR

I have the 6lb and it is awsome, i dont think there is anything specifically wrong with the 4lb its just how damn thin it is :p. Its thin diamiter can cause some nasty wind knots which is why most people steer clear of it.

GO THE 6lb!! :p :D

Yeah i went the 6 lb and was told that the 4 lb is that thin that if your knots arn't spoton it can cut the leader. Being the knot artist that i'm not i opted for the 6lb and loved it. :)

Ok thanks guys, made up my mind, getting the 300m in orange tomorrow. Love the orange colour, for the first time in my life, I can see where I am casting! :D And the colour doesn't seem to fade either.

Many thanks guys!

I have reels spooled with 6,9,10 &20lb line systems and have found it to be the best braid on the market.
Once you use it you will never go back!
