2 x 12 volt battery to power an 80lb motorguide.

I assumed you just leave them wired together and attach the charger.

A lead to the negative of one battery and the other lead to the positive of the other battery.

If thats wrong please let me know as soon as possible.

and is charging one battery on its own going to be a problem - coz thats what is happening at the moment.

The owners manual cant be found but Brad needs to know how to charge the batteries

Have a look here this may help

I'm assuming you are using a 24V charger? And it has a 12V option? (as you are charging 1 battery atm?)

You can leave them wired (in series) together to charge using a 24V charger or hook them up in parallel if the charger is 12V and has the capacity to charge both batteries ie enough amps.

I ran 2 by 12 Volts in a series Yellow door. I use 2 12 Volt chargers and just break the series before charging.

Thanks for that - he ended up just charging them individually. A second charger would be handy:)
