Yeh Bear,
When you see the size of this thing's mouth its hard to see how a TINY softplastic found a place to stay clear of its teeth and the rest..........just BLEW ME AWAY (i admit i've had a fruitless obsession with jewies on lures for a while now)
The "guy" (gotta find out his name) was chuffed(as you would be)
thanks

I hope somebody submitted the details of that catch to  ANSA (are they the guys who do the records).?

Geoff:ANSA don't accept claims caught with Gel spun lines - and Adrian was using 4lb fireline as his main line, which would break around 10-12lb's.He did have a 6lb Drenan leader however - which makes it a pretty awsome catch.

I though my 15.5kg jew on 14lb fireline was good until last weekend - There is no justice

By the way Scotto, those 2 bruisers on your avatar don't look too bad either.

6lb leader verus 65lb Fish a little one sided affair go to see the fisherman won. Nice piece of work to get a huge fish like that on a small setup for bream.

Will there be room for the J.E.W Classic?

Stuie

PS Jewfish are just silver coloured bream!
Snapper more a reddy tinge
Barra just a big bad black bream
and marlin Pikey bream in disguise!

Bear:I got those two in Lake Illawarra - just South of Wollongong. It's not that often you get both species in this size range side by side. The black bream went 1.8kg and the yellowfin went 1.3kgs.

Adrian,
It takes more than just luck to land a Mulloway of that size on that gear. Very well done.

Nice bycatch when the bream aren't playing.

Yep, congratulations on that Adrian.

Thats a staggering catch! I think when I first saw that posted (in print only) I asked if it was a mis-print. One picture is worth a thousand words though. Amazing.

I'm waiting on the photos taken in the boat on slide film. So I'm hoping to post some in the next week or so.

The photo shown on this web page was taken after weighin some 7 hours later. The fresh ones look much better.

We had troubles getting it in the boat and finding a place to keep it out of the shade on the boat (live well not big enough). So wet towels and shade up the front was the best we could do.
