Electric Motor Bracket (boat)

i am about to take my tinny in to get a electric motor bracket welded to it. But i need to show them how to do it, does anyone have any pictures of what it looks like. i have seen various ones but i need a pic to show them Eg: Electric Bracket Picture (http://www.hornetheaven.com/assets/images/db_images/db_Electric1.jpg)

This might be a silly question but do you have an electric outboard yet and is it a bow mount? If you have see if they have an after market bracket. I guess it depends which brand electric you go with but you may not need to go to the hassle of getting a bracket welded on. I have a Minn Kota riptide AP 55 and I bought the quick release bracket and fitted it myself ( and Mad Phil's and Ira's hire boat setup ) which is not really hard at all.

If you need a bracket welded Geoff P has a setup with his kota which he may have a pic to show you......

same here Chris. I you have enough room on the front of the boat you don't need a bracket. I have the quick release on the new one and it fits easily.

I will take a photo from underneath my bracket on my Hornet & it should give you some idea. My bracket was put on at Quintrex. I'll post it shortly

I too just had a bowmount installed this is the mounting plate.. and the end result.. hehehe

If you have a flat deck you can mount the minn kotta like this .
If you angle it to one side you can still sit in the casting seat with the motor up. Another tip is change the 4 big phillips head screws in the side plates for s/steel security screws & then only you can remove the motor.
