Wondering if anyone has tried the Ecogear Pad Tue's they look unique on the online store. My mate (another soft plastic convert) has just ordered some ecogear minnows and pad tue's.
What rigging and retrevial techniques are best for these softies?
*Edit. Also the website says they are 2" and also says 2.5" I'm getting a bit picky but what is the total length of the Pad Tue?
Thanks Grant
I have had a look at the Ecogear Pad Tue's and have to admit I was not overly impressed. But I too would be interested to hear if anybody is having any success with them and how they rigged them.
Cheers

Hi AtomicGrant,
This is how I rig pad tue 2.5' from the instructions behind Ecogear packet. The 2 photoes are the pad tue rig with 1/16 ecogear jighead. It is perfect fit in. I have success on Bream and Bass. The action is awesome use short twitch. The pad will kick like real prwan. ( But the pad sometimes got biten off)Hope this will help you out. Swim it in the water, you will love it!:D

Since the body of Pad Tue is hallow. The jighead will hide inside the body. Only the eye and hook come out.
Hope this give you some idea.

Thanks Mad Fisho it was very imformative i guess i will look at the back of the pack when he gets them. I have 2gram round jigs should I use those or get some specific jigheads just for the PAd Tue's?

I personally use Ecogear jighead 1/16 or 1/32 oz. But just hide the head into the body..
I guess other jighead should work too :D

I too rig them the same as Mad Fisho. The jig head slides inside the lure perfectly. I also rig them on a texas rig worm hook with a small split shot crimped just above. this also slides inside the hook pocket and the worm style hook sits perfectly once rigged.
Species caught so far include Bream, Mulloway, Flathead.

You can add Redfin to the Pad Tue hit list - got a few last weekend.
The 1.75" Atomic Paddle tail in Blue Pearl Pepper, tail dipped in Red Crawfish Spike-It, on a Gammy Round 25 1/16 really brained them, it got to the stage where I wasn't even turning the handle, just jigging it over the side of the boat and pulling them in:D
Oh, I have got a Bream or three on them as well:)
