Hi I am in wa I was wondering what I would be able to pick a motorguide Bow Mount FW 54 FB for and will this be suficient power for my 3.7m savage. also were will i be able to pick one of these up from and wat type of battery will i have to use and charger. this i wat i was looking at.

Go on to the MotorGuide site to find a dealer here in WA.
I've go the 47lb on a 3.9 hornet and it does the job fine, but 54lb would be even better. Make sure you get a anode put on the shaft as they are freshwater models, and rinse them after each use you will have no dramas.
I think they cost about $1000 and then grab something like a Delcor deepcycle 100Amp atleast.
do a search on this site for motorguides and you will find heaps of info.

why not go for a second hand one mate i picked mine up cheap works great

Brand new it would go pretty close for a 54lb. I think i got a quote of $750 for a 47lb MG. a fair while back.
then you've got a battery of atleast $100 and a charger which could go anywhere from $50-300.

yer I might look second hand, big pete how long have you had your leccy for and wat type is it, thanks simmsy for the info mate.
I 'm just a bit unsure about second hand because there is no warranty left on it is there, oh well i'll se i'll shop around a bit.

don't mean to be rude big pete but how much did your motorguide set you back if you don't mind me asking I am willing to spend around 1000 for leccy,battery and charger but I will pay more if it is needed.

i got it off one of the Breammaster guys cost me $400 then i got 2x6volt trogen batts given to me to run it got them hooked up in series

if you want a new one go see the guys at Challenge Marine like hooked said they are a dealer for Motorguide and a grat biunch of fellas they know their stuff
