I remember Warren saying ages ago in a post that he had replacement bibs for his personal Attacks. Not for sale though guys.
Just a perk of running a fishing business and having the contacts!

I do have a limited number of replacement bibs guys. The Attacks are an awesome lure, but the bib breakage is unfortunately a ongoing saga. Replacing them is a fairly easy process. If you need a couple of bibs drop me an email.
Warren.

But they make such wonderful key-rings :D
I broke the bibs on 2 Attacks in 3 casts... These were the newer Attacks, a couple of older ones I've had for a long, long time I never have a problem with.
I hate that feeling when you make a cast and the lure hits something solid.... A definite cringe factor....
I'd be very interested to know if there is a major difference between the new bibs and the old ones, they just don't seem as strong

We know about the attacks, but my last batch of Gold OarG`s have all swum ordinary after 10-15 minutes, and I found the bibs loose on them all, funny thing was this was only with the gold ones, the other colours Ive ordered have been fine.
Do you think that because of the huge demand for this colour in the last few weeks, they might not have put the effort into the finish, just to get them out the door. ??
Its just depressing having 5-6 Gold OarG`s sitting in the box, all swimming crap, and barely touched the water. Warren can we buy replacement bibs for these??...
cheers

How would you go putting a coat of aradite on the bibs. Would this toughen them up? I just ordered my first attack from bream master and i hope it doesn't happen to me:(

G'day Guys.
The Attack bib problem is not a new one and I am surprised he hasn't sorted it out by now? I can remember a couple of mates of mine having this problem at least 4 years ago! I still remember one of them telling me if you caught it in a tree you might as well bight through the line to save yourself the heart ache. Has anyone contacted him to discuss the problem? It would be a shame to see such a good lure fall from favour because of this problem. As for the problem with the Oargee lure I would definately let Wayne know, no body takes more pride in their product than Wayne and I couldn't imagine him not wanting the oppotunity to replace them. If anyone has a problem with one my lures please let me know and I will replace it. That I can assure you.
Paul.

i can honestly say the deceptions are the only lure ive never had to tune straight out of the packet...ever. :):) the worst are the rebel crawdads, i reckon a 1/3 need to be tuned :( , pity coz they work so well.

Thanks Pete.
It is no fluke though because we tune in a test tank every lure we make. I remember 15 years ago buying Manns lures and nearly everyone was out of tune and I swore when I started making lures that they would be ready to fish straight from the packet.

I thought I had a one off with regard to busted bibs. I broke the only attack I had and it was the only diving lure that was pulling huge Sooty grunters up at Kunanurra at Christmas. I switched to rebel cricket hopper poppers and they just loved em. Managed a 5lb Sooty.
I had to go all the way to Narooma to get attacks off the shelf, and they are made here in Wodonga I believe. I know I could have bought them through BM but its strange that you can't buy lures made in your home town, in your home town.
I still have some old Bennet McGraths that were the forunner of Attacks. I got them directly from Gooey Bennet. You definately couldnt break the bibs off them, they were made of colour bond sheet metal. I used them at Narooma on the weekend and they outfished attacks and all others, except squidgies, 2 to one. I recently lost one of the larger size on a good Yellow belly. I used to take Bennet McGraths over to my old mate Pete Steen at Narooma, he was made on em. We pulled some massive Bream and EP's out from under oyster leases over there with them.
Dissapointing that the attacks break like that.
