Hi guys,
I am looking around for a new rod to chuck some plastics around with, but there are sooooo many choices. I have a limited budget (around $150-$200)
Looking for a rod that will throw 1/32-1/8 jigs. 1-4 kg line.
So far I looked at the Shimano Stella, Heartland IM6 and IM7, Daiwa Procyon and Procaster. Have I missed any and are there anyI should look at or any to avoid
comments please

Hi Fatman
I was down at Bluefin at Kogarah last night and checked out the TICA range of rods .They are definately worth having a look at if you get a chance.

JP and I are both using the Browning IM6 6'6 in the medium/light. They seem to be working well for both the hards and the softs. Priced around $130. Pretty good value.
Cheers
Mim
Hi Craig,
You might find a good deal on a Stella because I was told the squidgee line of rods are taking over and no more Stellas are being made (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong here).
What about the Penn rods sold through Breammaster :D .
Yeah, have a look at the Pflueger's, owned by Shakespere. Great rods, but not easy to come by!

The Shimano Steve Starling Squidgy Spin 70 is a 7 foot rod that is made to fish the range of jig weights you mention.
The Stella 66 is a 6 foot six inch rod and is made for a slightly higher range of cast weights, say 1/16 oz and up.
They are similarly priced, there is a bit of a shortage of the Squidgy model at present though.
