Was down the local tackle store and spotted these new items (well new to me). They were a surecatch/surebite Blazer 60 which are a 60mm floating minnow. The best thing about them is the price $4.95 :)
Has anyone used them yet?

They seem smaller than a scorp52 even though they say they are 60mm

Hey Grant,

I picked up one ages ago and did some paint mods to it..nice little lure for the price but I haven't used it much, same with the Smilin' Jack's Baby minnow (4gm) in the gold, wicked action and it dives to a good depth.

Surebite have another good little minnow out at the moment called the Super Crank 45 (colour code L17 which is a gold colour with some red in it)..lost a good fish on that in the last comp :-( try and track one down Grant.

Well not those particular ones but one called the "GOBINMARU", it used to collapse inside itself ,very strange. I'll race out and get a pic of it.
Geoff
They were awsome by the way, crap quality but I used to get Barra on them.

hi Mitch they are a good price so no harm giving them a go. In the surecatch range these looked like the smallest. But a 45mm lure would be ideal quite a decent finish on them and some great looking colours :)Is the smiling jack baby minnow is a hard body? I spotted some smiling jack lures and there was a hard/soft hybrid it had a bib on the front a soft plsatic fish imatation on it with a treble coming out the back (the soft plastics portion was quite hard though). Wonder if they would let me walk in and get a photo :) i'll Keep an eye out for the crack45 though mitch.

the "GOBINMARU", it used to collapse inside itself get a picture geoff cause im confused :) A picture tells a thousand words :) Gona give them a bash this arvo hopefully pull a bream

I went to take a photo and the batteries were dead. They are on charge so as soon as they are ready I'll post them.
Basically it looks as if the spine on the lure is broken (they are hollow floaters) and its imploded and bent.
Just wait till you see it.
I wish I could scrounge some smaller models in this pattern to use on Bream. Mind you I reckon this Lure would still of got 'em.

I used to walk the banks of Black River in Townsville casting onto flats and drop off's with my mate Robert "Bucket DohDohDohDohDoh" Haslam, he earned that title cause he's N.A.F.A..

I took 4 of them to the rep or rather the tackle shop did, and he wouldn't do anything about it

Very strange is the outside covering soft? looks like it would break before bending :) Doesnt look to big for bream not to go it.

They came in 4 sizes 45, 65, 90 and 125 I only had luck on the 65 though. I would like to have a go at them now Knowing what I know about Bream, I reckon it's harder to catch Bream than any other fish I've targeted.

Grant ,
I got one of those surecatch lures the other day , in the gold pattern at about 45mm.
I'm going out on sunday so I'll give it a go.
They look nice.
