I would like some feedback on what everyone would use as a mainline if braid was not on the market,i am really keen to try something different simply because braid does not suit me all that well(one day i will admit why but thats another story),what breed of line would you all use and why ect, please help me out.

I'd prolly go with a very high quality flourocarbon mainline. One that is not super hard and coily (made up that word...lol). Basically one that will stay on the spool well and still cast god distances.
Id go with flouro simply due to its incredible abrasion resistance over mono, it is also UV resistant and is not effected by salt and H20 the same way mono is.

God help us If braid was no more
Yeah what Dave said. The more poundage the line the stiffer and "coily" :D its going to be, so try and stick to as light as posible.
cheers, Nathan

Wotza braid is best, fireline actually, if you are getting tangles and loops try putting tension on line by running it through first 2 fingers of hand holding rod and you will never get another loop, also close bail arm by hand and take up line with those 2 fingers before turning reel, try it, it works.
