View Full Version : Ecogear Fish of the Month Comp...

Bream Master

OK...OK...

Enough emails asking for the fish of the week to come back. Tony (Mad Fisho) at Ecogear has donated some great ecogear products to temp me to bring the comp back.

Rather than have fish of the week though, I'm going to run fish of the month. This way, we'll pick three pic's and get you guys to vote on which one you want to win. Each of the three pics chosen will win a pack of Ecogear, and the monthly winner will pick up a prize pack which will consist of some awesome Ecogear products like Waist Packs, Caps and more Lures etc.

This thread will be the opening comp, so start posting your pic's. Remember to keep them no larger than 500x500 pixels. We'll pick the three best pic's after two weeks and then hold a poll for the following two weeks to decide the winner.

Thanks again to Tony for his sponsorship of this great comp.

Cheers

Warren.:p

Couple of quick questions. Does the photo have to contain yourself or just the fish? And does the fish have to be caught in that month or just wenever the picture is posted?

We just want to see good Bream Grant. It can have you in the picture, and you can have taken it whenever you like. It can only win once.

Warren.

This one's got abit of a story to it.....I'll try and keep it short

Twas Sunday, Feb 16th & me and Skivv's went for a late afternoon flick which started off bad with lightning, thunder & rain starting about 15-20 minutes after we started breamin so we ended up going back to the car and looking for a spot to park on the other side of our current location....after finding parking we waited another 15-20 minutes for the rain to ease a bit and when we ventured down we only took our rods and what ever lures were attached, cause it still looked like it was going to bucket down at any time.

We hadn't been fishing long when I hooked up to this beauty......I knew I was on to a good fish, but I couldn't get Skivv's attention(he was spinning out trying some spotters and seeing fish further up) eventually I got his attention and he raced over.....when he grabbed it for me I said I would have to race to the car and get the camera.....so I had to bolt there and back....a good few hundred meters and by the time I got back Skivv's was already in the water ready to revive the poor ol' bugga.

I was stoked to see that and said "mate you grab the fish and I'll snap a couple quick one's so we can get him back in quickly"...didn't take too long to revive and he was off swimming again.

One thing I did notice is that in the pic his tail is quite bent unfortunatley it really doens't show it's true size but it was
48cm and was caught on a BR pattern Oar-G Lil' Ripper.
Don't know what it weighed tho.
A great birthday pressie and is my PB.

Thanks for the editing Richo. :D :p

Cheers,
Davo

Nice flare behind your pic.
It seems a lot of guys are fiddling with picks recently. Either hiding something or just making a pic more attractive. Could be the winning Edge!!!:D

Thankx kingpin
but that wasn't my intention though. I was playing around with photoshop to make it lighter, as the pic was very dark. If anybody can help, I'll apreciate it very much as I don't want to ruin the pic.
Here's the original:

As Ive never been personally introduced to a Bream over 41cm, I really have nothing to offer this comp for now, gotts find 45 odd, to even get a mention these days.... Although can we make it 4 or 5 choices as there were 2 more Id like to add. Bears and Bassifers, both nice fish.... maybe even camera work etc will come into the overall decision.

cheers

richo,

Cant wait to see pics of the 50cm+ Ira caught on the last week.

You can, but it may be a wasted opportunity as the votes for the top 3 are being counted tomorrow night (Friday). Hold it off for next month cause I've seen the pic and it should be in the running.
