I am happy to say i have purchased a Minn Kota Ripe Tide Bow Mount 55lb thrust. Haven't tried it out yet but can't wait. Should be good.:D :)

Bloody oath, Chris! :D I'll bet you a casket ticket you come back here next week saying it's one of the best things you ever bought! :) I know mine is.....even though it's transom mounted (sniff!).

I too am the happy owner of a riptide 55. It is just fantastic, particularly the autopilot feature that lets you concentrate on your casting and forget stearing 90% of the time.

I have used it in some horrible snaggy spots, you know, the ones where all the big fish live?, and its flexi shaft has handled all the bumps, which is pretty good considering the inertia of a Quinnie 445 wildfisher. Makes snagged lure retrieval much easier too.

Get one!
