I’ve just been on the phone to Miriam Melis, who is tirelessly organising boats for the WA BREAM GF Qualifiers.
At this stage Mim has been able to secure boats for all WA Grand Final Qualifying Boaters, however, 2 of the boats are located in or around Sydney. What she needs now is for a couple of the NSW non-boaters who have qualified to put up their hands to take the boats to Gippsland and return them to Sydney at the end of the competition.
The West Aussies will be more than happy to help pay the cost of fuel to get the boats to the Grand Final, and one of the West Aussies also has a spare bed or 2 for the person who delivers the boat for him. Not a bad deal!
So, now that all the qualifying rounds have been run and won and everyone knows where they are at, it is time to help the West Aussie team, remember that if they don’t have the boats and can not fish, then that may mean a couple of others won’t be able to fish as non-boaters in the Grand Final. Also, if you ever venture West to do a comp, or just for a holiday, all the people in the WA team will look after you with accommodation, fishing trips, etc. I’ve seen it first hand – you’ll have a great time.
If you can help out please phone Miriam Melis on 0438 409 491.
Cheers,
Steve Morgan
