bow mount electric motor

hi all, just recently built a nother proge for a mate and were going to test it this weekend, iv got a 54 motor guide that we wanted to test on tha canoe but arnt shure where to put it
there are basicly three options

1. on the bow
just sounds right and makes less stearing
2. on a platform on the out riggers in the middle the foot controle will reach every where, manoverable

or
3. on the back, conventional and easy

right now im stumped cos i will have only enought time to do one of these so if anyone could help it id be great:D

I mount my transom electric model on the bow with the handle flipped around. Works a treat, manueouverability is heaps better. I do think that it you loose some battery efficiency when your going trying to cruise at higher speeds though since you can't really get a partial plane with the motor on the front. If your canoe allows you so sit forwards and backwards, it might be best to chuck the motor on the back so you can use it on the back for longer distances, and then turn around on your seats to use it on the mount for maneuvering around fishy structure.

I don't recommend rigging it in the middle, you need the motor at either end of the canoe to be able to turn the end so you can change direction. A middle mounted motor will mean you can go forwards, backward or sideways only, which sucks and is potentially dangerous.
