Anyone given small spinnerbaits a go? Thinking of the small grubspins and 1/16 oz spinnerbaits made by Ausspin. No doubt that flatties will hit them, but I'm not so sure about Mr B.

interesting thought strewth.
in the melbourne comp, the guy i fished on the sunday with, used a singletail grub on what looked like a modified jighead with a small blade about 2cm long. he didnt land a fish on it but then not many were caught :)
I've heard of bream being caught on spinnerbaits, and i've seen pics of them being caught on them.:D
I personally don't use them, but that doesn't mean s!@t. I think there more popular over in the eastern states which is good for you guys!!!:D
I'd asy the smaller spinnerbaits are better though!

Strewth,
I have done realy well on Skippy with spinnerbaits but I use then like you would soft plastics for bream but with a very erratic retreave. The big one's hit it first most ot the time which is a big advantage over using them. Givem a go 'cos you never know , 2 months ago a bream on a 52 mm scorpian was not heared of and well now every boddy has atleast a couple of them.
Fish hard
Ben
I just read an article from an eastern coast fishing mag, that rated spinners very highly for bream.
They were saying that in the 1/16th and 1/8th sizes with either softies or the rubber skirts, were dynamite on bream.
They believe that they are just like softies were. Always been around, just waiting for someone to discover it!
I might giveit a go myself!
