Hi guys,
Sounds crazy, but I found a lure at the Kalgan River and tried it out for the first time the other day.

The problem I have is that I would like to see what colours are available, but the Lively web site only has the Mullets. The one I found is a Mini Micro or something similar.

Does any one know where I can find these on the net to purchase and check out colours and other styles??

Thanks,

Craig_S

I've got no idea where to find these either, but I saw this lure in action. It was a green and something else and the green looked absolutely superb in the water.

As for the action...tiiiiiight

Bear,

If you get time post a pic of it.

I know there is one called a "Bleeding Mullet" that is supposed to be an awesome Bream lure.

Hi Jim,
The Mullets of the Lively web site are 5" smallest. Not what I was looking for.

Check out the pic I have below. It is definitely called a Mini Micro. It's printed on the base.

I was able to read it off the picture:)
Its a good looking lure with a fair sized bib on it.

I bet the original owner cried over his beer that night.

Have you had any casts with it, yet?

Jim,
That's why I want to get some more. They have a wicked action and when CraigS and I were haing a hrd time getting a touch, this thing was working fairly well.

I'm hoping to find some more colours.

I have one of these - black with glitter - and I agree about the action. Haven't given it a good workout yet though, as the Lil' Ripper (JG and PF) and Predatek Micro Min (purple thing) keep producing fish at a great rate. If you look at http://www.ausfish.com.au/lively/index.html there is a 2.5" mad mullet deep diver that looks very similar. My packaging was totally uninformative as to the name of the lure. Got it from Compleat Angler in Sydney. Haven't seen them elsewhere.

Cheers

Bear,

I picked a few up from Getaway Camping and Fishing in Canning Vale a few years back, I doubt they'd have any now.

The micro mullets are great, they dive deep and have a real tight action.

Cheers,

Cole

Lively Lures make a "Lively Lures Mini Micro Mullet" , Bear. That could be one of them. Ask your friends at Campbells....they stock the bigger Mullet's I see.

There was a mention in a Fishing Monthly archive:

This is the one and only lure i have like that. This one has micro mullet printed on the bottom. I'm pretty sure they are still avaliable. I think this one came from the complete angler in melb.
Brian
BTW this one is only two inches long.

The one I have is a bit smaller Brian.

The body is only about and inch long.

The have a great action Cole. I was hoping to try out a few different colours.

I'll keep hunting.

Bear,
Your best bet might be to e-mail lively lures direct and see if they can help you out with a list of stores which sell themif they are still being made. If i had ever seen lures that size i would definately have a few in my collection. The smallest i have seen is the micro mullet. Good luck, Hope ya find em.

Bear ,
I think that is my lure. Did you find it on the big straight just after Hunny Moon island. Was it hanging on a stump next to a clay bank.
I was getting heaps of hits on it just down past the Big red gum tree that is laying in the water. I got my first mulloway on lure off that snag.
Good luck with it as I have not found another one yet.

Happy Fishing

Yeah they are great deep running (for size) bream lures. Shuggy has them if you're looking for somewhere to get them. With the range of lures available thought, I tend to give them a miss because there's plenty of other options that cover similar situations. (Having said that we all know we need to cover EVERY possible situation!) :D

Wouldn't believe it.

I tried a search last night and couldn't for the life of me get any decent sites. Did another search on Google 5 mins ago and came up with the same site. Got me stuffed.

Thanks Pete.

Hi Bear,
I think the lures your chasing are from the Killalure range, and they are advertised in the MO tackle paper available from most news agents

Bear,
Used one today for the first time , in the gold/orange pattern. It is awsome. 7 fish in 4 hours.

Hi Ben,
Managed to get a heap from Campbell's. Greg did a bit of hunting and managed to get me the gold, bleeding mullet and fluro green.

One thing to be aware of with these is that they actually customise the colours depending on what the store wants. The colours I got from Greg are different to the Lively web site.

The gold is more like a sneaky than the web site picture. Which, to be honest, I loke the look of. Thanks to Greg for the info.

Going to give them a hammering at Moore River this weekend. Dieing to get out and give the new BR a go as well. Hopefully pics to follow, including the new paint job on the boat.

The guys have dubbed it the Stealth, it's all black.

Bear ,
If it's the gold/orange lure the top orange coloure stand's out unbelivably. I could see it whilst it is on the bottom in 3 foot.

Good luck

You bet Ben.

Stood out really well in the dirty water. Was the only lure to get a fish today so I think I might have to get a few spare.

Bear,
It's a great lure. I started using it on sunday and got fish.
But I was geting out fished by the Gold Orge so I changed toit and with instant resalts I started geting lots more hits. Infact every change I did I had resalts strait away , it was awsome.

Anyway it is a great lure , mines looking a bit hamered. It is choice.
